Raymond Dane Shaver, 79, of Wayland, MO, died Wednesday, August 9, 2017 at Blessing Hospital in Quincy, IL.
He was born on October 13, 1937 in Unionville, MO, the son of Dane and Ivah Marie Scobee Shaver.
Raymond was a proud Veteran and served in the U.S. Army from 1955 – 1957. After his service in the Army he worked as a carpenter for two years. He then continued to serve his country in the U.S. Air Force for another four years.
He had been employed building bridges for Howard Construction in Sedalia, MO for 22 years.
He is survived by his son, Tom Barnhart and his wife Marilyn of Wayland, MO, three grandsons, one great-grandson, one brother, Ronnie Shaver of Hillsboro, IA, three sisters, Mary Arnold and Karen Arnold both of Texas and Donna Boyd of Wheatland, MO.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his life partner of fifty years, Ruth Ann Barnhart, one brother, Bob Shaver, four sisters Beatrice Wheeler, Lois Brotherton, Darlene Chewing and Marie Brotherton.
According to his wishes there will be no services.
The Vigen Memorial Home in Kahoka, MO is assisting the family with arrangements.
