Randall "Randy" Charles Knoverek 61, of Carthage, IL died Saturday, July 25, 2020 at the Memorial Hospital in Carthage, IL. He was born August 18, 1958, the son of Richard and Dolores Stencel Knoverek in Chicago, IL. Randy attended Proviso Area for Exceptional Children in Maywood, IL. He then worked for Hines Veterans Hospital in Hillside, IL until his retirement in 2004. Randall lived at home until 2003, when he came to live with his brother and family in Quincy, IL. He then lived at Carthage Terrace DD Homes from 2018 until 2020. Randy was a loyal fan of all Chicago sports teams. He was happiest around family and friends. He was lovingly known as Uncle Re-Re to his nieces and nephews. He is survived by his brothers, Richard (late Karen) Knoverek, Jr. of Darien, IL and Russell (Angel) Knoverek of Quincy, IL and his nephews and nieces, Nickolas, Alexzander, and Victorya Knoverek of Quincy, IL, Catherine Knoverek of St. Louis, and Cory Rogers of Darien, IL, along with many extended family members and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents. A service was held at 2 p.m. on July 31st at St. Casimir Catholic Cemetery Chapel in Chicago, IL. Burial was held in the St. Casimir Catholic Cemetery in Chicago. Visitation was held on July 30th from 5 – 7 p.m. at the Vigen Memorial Home in Kahoka with family meeting with friends at that time.
