Ralph P. "Sam" Hall, Jr., 61, of Keokuk, IA, died Sunday, January 1, 2006 at his home.
He was born on January 6, 1944 in Keokuk, IA, the son of Ralph "Pete" and Marie Kay Hall. On July 24, 1966, Ralph was united in marriage to Dorothy "Dottie" Boudreau in Keokuk, IA. She survives.
Other survivors include four daughters, Wilma "Sally" J. Grant and her husband Tony of Keokuk, IA, Tina M. Adams and her husband David of Keokuk, IA, Melissa J. Liles and her husband Eric of Mediapolis, IA and Selissa J. Weber and her husband Stacy of Montrose, IA, three sons, Rick Allen Hall and his wife Tami of Easley, South Carolina, Tomas E. Hall and his wife Jolene of Hamilton, IL, and Donald Boudreau and his wife Sarah of Keokuk, IA, twelve grandchildren, seven step-grandchildren, six step- great-grandchildren, his mother, Marie Hall of Keokuk, IA, two sisters, Helen Drummond and her husband Bud of Farmington, IA, and Margaret Norvel of Keokuk, IA, one brother, Frank Hall and his wife Joann of Wayland, MO, three brothers-in-law, Homer Boudreau and Calvin Boudreau and his fiancé Tisha Egley all of Keokuk, IA, and Roger Boudreau of Florida, three sisters-in-law, Mary Wilhelm and her friend John Walters of Argyle, IA, Connie St. Clair and her husband Tom, Patty Tichenor and her husband Jerry all of Keokuk, IA, several nieces and nephews and his two best friends, his dogs Poncho and Samson.
He was preceded in death by his father, one sister, Shirley Allsup and one brother Pete Hall.
Ralph had been employed with the City of Keokuk for 20 years. He was a member of the Teamsters Union Local 238.
Ralph loved Nascar Racing and was an enthusiastic Dale Ernhardt fan. He enjoyed working on cars and collecting all kinds of Junk. His favorite vacation spot was South Carolina and he enjoyed traveling there and visiting with his son. He was a very caring person and was always willing to do anything to help others. Ralph was a loving husband, father and grandfather and took great joy in being with his family.
Funeral services were held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, January 4, at the Vigen Memorial Home in Keokuk, IA with Pastor Rob Saunders officiating. Burial was in Oakland Cemetery in Keokuk, IA.
