Paul F. Abrahams, 75, of West Point, IA, formerly of Keokuk, IA, died Thursday, July 16, 2009 at his home. He was born on November 22, 1933 in Winterset, IA, the son of Clyde C. and Gladys O'Neal Abrahams. On June 20, 1954, Paul was united in marriage to Beverly Clippert in Keokuk, IA. She survives. Other survivors include one son, Kyle Abrahams (Patty Sullivan) of Higbee, MO, one daughter, Melanie Schierbrock ( John Derr) of West Point, IA, two granddaughters, Amy Forsythe (Blake) of West Point, IA and Sara Schierbrock (Joshua Young) of Burlington, IA and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, grandparents, one sister, Leona and a brother in infancy. Paul graduated from Keokuk High School with the Class of 1952. He was a veteran of the United States Army. Paul had been employed at Union Electric in Ft. Madison, IA and Kirksville, MO for thirty-six years, retiring in 1993. He loved to play golf and was a member of the Green Acres Golf Course in Donnellson, IA. Visitation was held on Sunday at the Vigen Memorial Home in Keokuk, IA. A private family graveside service will be held at the Sunset Memorial Park in Keokuk, IA. Memorials may be made to the Lee County Hospice.
