Patrick Alan Nichols

Patrick Alan Nichols, 51 of Canton, MO died Monday, March 18, 2013 at the Blessing Hospital in Quincy, IL. He was born March 17, 1962 in Keokuk, IA the son of Leo and Catherine Uhlmeyer Nichols. His parents and siblings took care of him for the last 37 years of his life. Patrick was a member of the Shrine of St. Patrick, St. Patrick, MO. He enjoyed polka music, watching his favorite shows on television, his favorite tractor was the John Deere, and he also enjoyed his large collection of frog knick knacks. What he especially enjoyed was being with his family. Patrick is survived by his parents, Leo and Catherine Nichols of Canton, MO, five sisters, Carol Huston and her husband Earl of Canton, MO, Margie Lynn and her husband Steve of Lewistown, MO, Juli Clark and her companion Dave Stock of Quincy, IL, , Lori Winters of Liberty, MO, and Jeanne Leighty and her husband Rod of Carthage, IL, a brother, John Nichols and his wife Pat of Godfrey, IL, 16 nieces and nephews and many great nieces and nephews and aunts and uncles. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, four brothers, Stephen, Ronald, Kevin and Michael Nichols, and a brother-in-law, Kyle Winters and sister-in-law, Toni Nichols. Mass of Christian Burial was held at 10:30 a.m. Thursday March 21st 2013 at the Shrine of St. Patrick in St. Patrick, MO with Father James Wheeler officiating. Burial wwas in the St. Patrick Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the Knights of Columbus for Mass for the Shut-ins.
