Patricia Korschgen, 85 of Fairfield, IA formerly of Kahoka died Friday, June 06, 2014 at the Jefferson County Hospital in Fairfield, IA surrounded by her family. She was born March 19, 1929 in Chicago, IL the daughter of William and Margaret Classen O'Malley. She was first married to Everette Dean Trone. To this union four children were born. They later divorced. On November 25, 1968 she was united in marriage to Lawrence "Henry" Korschgen in Quincy, IL. He preceded her in death on March 14, 2004. Pat was a member of the Shrine of St. Patrick Catholic Church. Pat and Henry owned and operated Kahoka Lanes until they retired in 1980. She enjoyed reading, playing cards with the ladies in her apartment complex and doing crafts. She especially enjoyed eating out with her family. She is survived by a son, Edward Trone and his wife Peni of Warsaw, IL, two daughters, Vicki Gutting and her husband Wayne of Kahoka, and Kathy Hyde and her husband Steve of Fairfield, IA, two step sons, Kevin Korschgen of Chicago, IL and Steve Korschgen and his wife Helen of New Mexico, seven grandchildren and four step grandchildren, eight great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. Besides her husband she was also preceded in death by her parents, a daughter, Debra Sonier, two brothers, two sisters and twin siblings in infancy. Graveside services were held at 11 a.m. Monday, June 9, 2014 at the Kahoka Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society.
