Patreina Ann (Pattie) Bawden

Patreina Ann (Pattie) Bawden, 91, of Keokuk, IA died Monday, January 7, 2019 at her home. She was born February 2, 1927 in Ft. Wayne, IN the daughter of Harold and Itha Harrington Walters. On November 11, 1945 she was united in marriage to Jack Bawden in Ft. Wayne, IN. He preceded her in death on November 9, 1999. Pattie had been employed at several area businesses through the years, including General Electric, Knotty Pine and the Keokuk Country Club. She had also been employed by Sheller Globe in Keokuk for seventeen years until her retirement. She is survived by two daughters, Sue Ellen Balluff (Bob) of NY and Linda Kennedy (Jack) of Donnellson, IA, four sons, Bruce Bawden of Keokuk, Kyle Bawden (Barbara) of Hamilton, IL, Kent Bawden (Lori) of Keokuk and Keith Bawden (Ronda) of Argyle, IA, numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. Besides her husband, Pattie was also preceded in death by an infant son, Stephen Bawden, her parents and one sister, Rosie Faurote. A memorial service was held at 1 p.m. Friday, January 25, at the Vigen Memorial Home in Keokuk with Pastor Derek Olsen officiating. Burial was in the Keokuk National Cemetery. Visitation was held after 1 p.m., Thursday, January 24, at the Vigen Memorial Home with the family meeting with friends from 6 – 8 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Great River Hospice or the Keokuk Marching Band.
