Pamela Jeanne Stone, 60, of Keokuk, IA, died Monday, August 8, 2005 at the Keokuk Area Hospital. She was born on June 22, 1945 in Burlington, IA, the daughter of Claude and Georgiana Nau Young. On July 10, 1971, Pamela was united in marriage to Robert E. Stone in Kahoka, MO. He preceded her in death on May 3, 1993. Pamela graduated from the Danville High School in Danville, IA with the Class of 1963. She also graduated from the American Institute of Business in Des Moines, IA. She was employed with James Hartrick CPA in Keokuk, IA for 20 years. Prior to that she worked for Schuler Industries in Hamilton, IL. She was of the Methodist faith and attended Trinity United Methodist Church in Keokuk, IA. Pamela enjoyed working in her flower and vegetable gardens. She liked to read and work crossword puzzles. She had participated in several of the American Cancer Society's Relays for Life. Pamela was a loving wife, mother and sister and made her family the number one priority in her life. She is survived by her son, Robert Patrick Stone of Keokuk, IA, her mother, Georgiana Young of New London, IA, one sister, Claudia Coberley and her husband Ron of New London, IA, two aunts, one niece and one nephew. She was also preceded in death by her father. Funeral services were held at 1:30 p.m., Friday, August 12 at the Vigen Memorial Home in Keokuk, IA with Pastor Dan Davis officiating. Burial was in the Keokuk National Cemetery. A memorial has been established for the American Cancer Society's Relay for Life.
