Ona Neal, 76, of Keokuk, IA, died Sunday, May 16, 2010 at Lexington Square in Keokuk, IA. She was born November 21, 1933 in Kahoka, MO the daughter of Charles and Anna Toops Parsons. She first was united in marriage to Bill Hall in Keokuk, IA. She later married Raymond Neal in Quincy, IL. He preceded her in death. She had been employed as a bartender at several area bars. She was a member of New Testament Christian Church in Keokuk, IA. She loved flowers and grew beautiful violets and Christmas cactus. She enjoyed watching birds, baking, cooking and making homemade noodles. She was an avid Chicago Cubs fan. She is survived by four daughters, Carolyn "Cookie" Hall of Chicago, IL, Judy Wittenburg and her husband Everett of Blue Springs, MO, Janice Lewis and her husband Chuck of Blue Springs, MO, and Joyce Wittenburg and her husband Carl of Anamosa, IA, eight grandchildren, nine great grandchildren, one sister, Etta Leffler of Aviston, IL, one sister-in-law, Patty Hammel of Keokuk, IA, and numerous nieces and nephews. She was also preceded in death by three brothers, Russell Parsons, Ira Parsons, and Robert Parsons, three sisters, Virginia Martin, Anna Belle Dunlap and Mae Trout. Graveside services were held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, May 19 at the Sand Cemetery in St. Francisville, MO with Brother Bill Hauser officiating. Memorials may be made to the New Testament Christian Church in Keokuk, IA.
