Olivia L. Ashley, 21, of Nauvoo, IL, died Thursday, January 12, 2017 at Keokuk Area Hospital as the result of a car accident.
She was born on April 24, 1995 in Keokuk, IA, the daughter of Robert Steve and Angel Wilsey Ashley.
Olivia attended Keokuk Christian Academy in Keokuk, IA and later attended Hamilton High School in Hamilton, IL where she graduated with the Class of 2013.
She was a member of the New Testament Christian Church in Keokuk where she was baptized.
Olivia was currently employed at both Denney's in Wayland, MO and the Dairy Queen in Hamilton
Olivia enjoyed motorcycle riding and listening to country music. She had a special place in her heart for all animals and she especially loved caring for her puppies and cats. Olivia loved her family and loved being a big sister to the love of her life, her brother, Brier. She was happiest when spending time with her family and friends. Even though her life was cut short, Olivia had lived her life to the fullest, more than most, and filled her time with all the wonderful things she enjoyed. She had touched the lives of many people with her smile and caring heart and will continue to touch lives as an organ and tissue donor.
She is survived by her parents, Steve and Angel Ashley of Hamilton, IL, one brother, Brier Steven Ashley of Hamilton, two half-sisters, Bethanie Berg and Leslie Ashley both of St. Louis, MO, her paternal grandfather, Richard (Dick) Ashley of Keokuk, her maternal grandparents, Bernard T. "Papa" Wilsey and Carol J. "Nana" Wilsey of Keokuk, one uncle, Jacob Wilsey of Keokuk, one aunt, Joan Ashley of Keokuk, one nephew, Thomas Wilsey of Pleasant Plains, IL, two nieces, Arabella Berg and Madlyn Ashley both of St. Louis, MO and her longtime sweetheart, Derek Bolton of Hamilton, IL.
She was preceded in death by her paternal grandmother, Helen Ashley.
Funeral services were held at 1 p.m. Wednesday, January 18, 2017 at the Vigen Memorial Home in Keokuk with Brother Bill Hauser officiating.
