Norman Lee Yocum

Norman Lee Yocum, 76, of Keokuk, IA, died Friday, February 10, 2017 at the Keokuk Area Hospital. He was born on July 10, 1940. He was united in marriage to Paula Eaton White in 1971. She survives. He is also survived by four daughters, Jeannie Cochenour of Keokuk, Tessa White, Shellie White James all of Donnellson and Nikki Stark of Keokuk, three sons, Jeremy Yocum of Pekin, IL, John White of Springfield, MO and Bill (Deanna) White, Jr. of Argyle, IA, eighteen grandchildren and one brother, Bob Yocum (Judy) of Wyaconda, MO. He was preceded in death by one son, Norman Yocum, Jr. and one brother, Jesse Yocum. He retired from Griffin Wheel in Keokuk after 31 years of service. Norman enjoyed collecting model trains and tractors. He loved his dogs, Moses, Lucky, Zia and Rowdy and they were his constant companions. He also enjoy gardening and landscaping and was a jack of all trades. Norman's grandchildren were his pride and joy and he loved spending time with them. A memorial service was held at 6 p.m. Wednesday at the Vigen Memorial Home in Keokuk with Pastor Bill Willis officiating.
