Nicole Lynn Lauzon, 16, of Keokuk, IA formerly of St. Louis, MO died Thursday, September 3, 2015 in Keokuk as the result of an automobile accident.
She was born February 25, 1999 in Belleville, IL the daughter of Don and Angela Lauzon Manarang.
Nicole was currently a junior at Keokuk Senior High in Keokuk, IA. She had previously attended Mehlville High School in Mehlville, MO.
She had recently become a member of the Faith Family Church in Keokuk.
Nicole loved horses and was an avid Equestrian, training at Briarstone Acadmy. She competed at many rated shows, always looking to improve and jump one more time. Now may she be jumping amongst the clouds. Nicole volunteered with Hoofbeats for Heartbeats, and shared her love of horses and her riding skills with people who had special needs. She was a very compassionate person who didn't like to see people suffer and was always ready to reach a hand out to those in need.
Nicole was very active in school and was a member of swim team and show choir, was a competitive cheerleader and a talented flute player.
Nicole was an avid reader and was currently reading "Longest Ride" by Nicholas Sparks. Nicole was a loving, generous, smart and adventurous young woman who loved life and lived it fully.
Nicole is survived by her parents, Don and Angela Manarang of Keokuk, one sister, Alexis Lauzon and her fiancé Justin Branson of St. Louis, MO, her grandparents, Dar and Delores Manarang of Anaheim, CA, several aunts, uncles and cousins and a multitude of friends as well as her beloved horse, South and her four dogs, Rosie, Daisy, Bentley and Kaiser.
Nicole was preceded in death by her grandparents, Marion and Bernard Lauzon, her loving aunt, Janice Husmann and one cousin, Aaron Husmann.
A memorial service was held at the Kutis Funeral Home, 5255 Lemay Ferry Road, St. Louis, MO, with Pastor Doug Hargrave officiating.
