Nathan Lee Keppel, 23, of Keokuk died Sunday, November 30, 2014 at his home. He was born May 27, 1991 in Ft. Madison, IA the son of Albert Keppel IV and Lena Hauff. Nathan graduated from Keokuk High School with the Class of 2010. In recent years he had been employed at Siemens and Pinnacle. Nathan loved the outdoors and enjoyed fishing and mushroom hunting. He also enjoyed working on his cars. He adored his son and the time he spent with his family was priceless and the memories that were made will live on in their hearts forever. He is survived by one son, Dominic Keppel of Keokuk, his father and step-mother, Albert and Michelle Keppel of Keokuk, his mother, Lena Keppel and her fiancé Bruce Dyer of Keokuk, three brothers, Albert Keppel V of Montrose, Tanner Keppel of Keokuk and Kole Keppel of Keokuk, grandparents, Albert & Kathleen Keppel of Keokuk and Norman and Jayne Woods of Keokuk and many aunts, uncles and cousins. He is preceded in death by his grandmother, Lucy Hauff. Funeral services were held at 11 a.m., Thursday, December 4th, 2014 at the Vigen Memorial Home in Keokuk with Brother Bill Hauser officiating. Burial was in the Oakland Cemetery, Keokuk, IA Memorials may be made to his son, Dominic's education fund.
