Mona Madeline Johnson, 73, of Keokuk, IA died Sunday April 17, 2005 at the Keokuk Area Hospital in Keokuk, Iowa. She was born June 18, 1931 in Grand River, IA the daughter of Alva and Carrie Morris Hileman. Mona was employed at BTR in Keokuk, IA, formerly known as Dryden and Sheller Globe, until her retirement in 1993. She was a member of the Assembly of God Church in Keokuk, Iowa and a member of #444 United Rubber Workers Union. She loved to travel. She was a loving mother, grandmother and cherished the times she spent with her family She is survived by a daughter Glenda Branson and her husband Russell of Farmington, IA, two sons, Raymond Johnson and Todd Johnson both of Keokuk, two granddaughters, Lori Twyman and her husband Douglas and Darcy Johnson, three great grandchildren, Alyssa, Erick and Joslyn Twyman, three sisters, Cleta Sanders of Glendale, AZ, Eva Fickel of Aledo, IL and Elsie Gray of Kahoka, MO and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by one daughter Diana Kulka, one grandson, Robert Branson, five brothers, Harold Morris, Garold, Willie, Paul, and Doyle Hileman and one sister Waneta Kriegel. Funeral services were held at 2 p.m., Wednesday, April 20 at the Vigen Memorial Home in Keokuk, IA with Pastor Richard Burrell officiating. Burial was in the Hickory Grove Cemetery in rural Keokuk IA. A memorial has been established for the family.
