View Memorial Tribute Michelene Kay Neil, 37, of Ft. Belvoir, VA, formerly of Tioga, IL, died Sunday, January 8, 2006 in Tioga following a long illness. She was born on January 29, 1968 in Quincy, IL, the daughter of Darrell L. and Betty J. Roan Guthrie. On October 1, 1990, Michelene was united in marriage to Mark W. Neil in Fairbanks Alaska. He survives. Other survivors include her father of Tioga, IL, two brothers, Anthony L. Guthrie and his wife Dawn of Greys Lake, IL, and James L. Guthrie of Tioga, IL, one sister, Nicole S. Burton and her husband Richard of Augusta, IL. She was preceded in death by her mother and one brother, Kevin D. Guthrie. Michelene graduated from Warsaw High School with the Class of 1986. She was a member of the Federated Church of Lima, IL. She had been employed at the Youth Services Daycare in Ft. Campbell, KY. Michelene enjoyed making cross stitch projects and other crafts. Her faith in Christ was her priority in life, and often helped her through the difficult days of her illness. She enjoyed learning more about the Word by being involved in Bible Studies. Funeral services were held at 10:30 a.m., Thursday, January 12 at the Vigen Memorial Home in Keokuk, IA with Brother Tom Mehaffy officiating. Burial was in the Oakland Cemetery in Warsaw, IL.
