Michael L. “Mike” Hendricks, 46, of Hamilton, Illinois, passed away Monday, August 31, 2026, at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics in Iowa City, Iowa.
He was born March 15, 1980, in Carthage, Illinois, the son of Gary and Tina Davis Hendricks. He graduated from Hamilton High School with the class of 1999.
Mike was employed at ADM in Keokuk until its closure and then continued his career with ADM in Bushnell, Illinois, until the recent closing of the plant. Prior to working at ADM, he was employed with Hy-Vee for fourteen years, where he served as a shift manager. He was also a longtime member of the NRA.
Mike was an outdoorsman who enjoyed fishing and deer hunting. He was an avid WWE wrestling fan and proudly followed the Green Bay Packers, St. Louis Cardinals and Wisconsin Badgers. Some of his happiest moments were spent with his family. He especially cherished the time he spent with his niece and nephew, Karter and Lynlee, who were his sidekicks and held a special place in his heart.
Mike is survived by his parents, Gary and Tina Hendricks of Hamilton; his sister, Ashley Seabold (Nick) of Keokuk; his nephew, Karter Seabold; his niece, Lynlee Seabold; his significant other, Kate Newenham of Rushville, Illinois; and his longtime friends, Nicole Platz and Jennifer Platz-Burleson. He is also survived by his aunts, Wanda Mahoney, Sandy Dresser (Raymond) and Robyn Davis; his uncle, Mike Davis; his four-legged companion, Sasha; along with other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, George and Katherine Hendricks and Harold and Marilyn Davis; several aunts and uncles; and his beloved dogs, Remmie and Hooch.
A visitation will be held from 11 a.m.- 1 p.m., Saturday, September 5 at Vigen Memorial Home in Keokuk, with the family meeting with friends at that time.
Memorials may be made to the family for niece and nephew.
