Michael Don Gordon, 73 of Keokuk, IA passed away on Tuesday, June 6, 2023 as a result of injuries sustained in a fall. Mike was a native of Bland, VA. He was a graduate of Bland High School and Virginia Tech. He lived the majority of his life in Keokuk, IA on the banks of the Mississippi River. He enjoyed traveling and was an excellent photographer. He especially loved visiting and photographing the National Parks, a passion he passed onto his sisters. He was an avid sports fan and enjoyed cheering for his VA Tech Hokies, the Iowa Hawkeyes and the St. Louis Cardinals.

He is survived by one brother, Terry Gordon (Sharon) Mechanicsburg, VA, two sisters, Andrea Gordon of Mechanicsburg and Laura Harkey (John) Tobaccoville, N.C., a nephew, Bradley Gordon (Megan), a niece, Leslie Melvin (John) and a great-niece, Naomi Hess and two great-nephews, Stephen Gordon and Jacob Melvin.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Don and Nell Gordon.

A memorial service will be held at 5 p.m., July 5, 2023 in the Mechanicsburg Cemetery in Mechanicsburg, VA. Terry Gordon will officiate.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Legion Post #41 in Keokuk.
