Melvin Franklin Leon Devericks, 44, of Peoria IL, formerly of Warsaw, IL died Saturday, August 28, 2010 at the Proctor Hospital in Peoria, IL. He was born on July 19, 1966 in Keokuk, IA, the son of James Devericks and Sandra Sapp. He enjoyed fishing and riding his bicycle. Melvin is survived by his mother, Sandra Young of Warsaw, IL, his father, James Devericks and his wife Jackie of Michigan, one brother, Jesse Q. Devericks of Warsaw, IL, one aunt, Glenna M. Green of Warsaw, IL, two uncles, Troy Sapp of Denver, IL and Melvin Lester Sapp, Jr. of Luray MO, two nieces, Aaron Devericks and Markayla Devericks both of Warsaw IL and several cousins. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, great-grandparents and his step-father, Robert Young. Graveside services were held at 10:30 a.m. Thursday September 2, 2010 at the Oakland Cemetery in Warsaw, IL . Memorials may be made to the family.
