Mary Louisa Inman Watts, 89, of Keokuk, IA, formerly of Bentonsport, IA, died Friday, May 12, 2006 at Lexington Square in Keokuk, IA. She was born on October 18, 1916 in Fairbury, NE, the daughter of John L. and Eveah Price Inman. On July 25, 1935, Mary was united in marriage to Buster Brown Watts. He preceded her in death on January 17, 1994. Mary and her husband had lived in Bentonsport, IA for over 50 years and relocated to Keokuk, IA after the flood of 1993. Mary was a faithful member of the Jehovah Witness Kingdom Hall in Keokuk, IA. Mary was a devoted mother and homemaker and made her family the number one priority in her life. She was a good neighbor to all and was always willing to render any service needed to help others. One of her favorite pastimes was sewing. She is survived by two daughters, Judy Ann Wilson of Keokuk, IA, and Sue Perry of Milton, IA, one son, James Wesley Watts and his wife Susan of Lexington, NC, a daughter –in- law, Neoma Watts of Le Claire, IA, thirteen grandchildren, twenty-seven great-grandchildren, five great-great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. She was also preceded in death by twin children, David and Mary at birth, a daughter, Jacqueline E. Watts, a son, John Leonard Watts, Sr., a grandson, Joe Watts and two sisters, Valta J. Crenshaw and Helen Rogers. Funeral services were held at 1:30 p.m., Tuesday, May 16 at the Vigen Memorial Home in Keokuk, IA with Gary Zeh officiating. A private family burial was held in the Vernon Cemetery, Vernon, IA. Memorials may be made to the Vernon Cemetery.
