Mary was born July 24, 1928 in Clark County, Missouri the daughter of John Samuel and Rosa Koeber Cameron. She married John Wampler on July 24, 1949 in St. Louis, Missouri at St. Andrew's Evangelical Church. He preceded her in death on May 8, 1992. She went to school at the Missouri School for the blind in St. Louis. Mary worked at the Lighthouse for the Blind. Mary "Luella" Wampler of St. Louis, MO, died April 1, 2007 at the Beauvais Manor in St. Louis, Missouri at the age of 78. She is survived by five children, Roger Wampler of St. Louis, MO, Mary Strubhart and her husband Eugene of Union, MO, Vaughn Wampler and his wife Patricia of Union, MO, Darline Riley and Louis Wampler both of St. Louis, MO, two sisters Louise Armstrong of Medill, MO and Dorothy Neville and her husband Charles of Tremont, IL, ten grandchildren, two step grandchildren and nine great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, four brothers, two in infancy and Ralph and Albert Cameron and two sisters one in infancy and Rosaline Phillips. Graveside services were held 12:00 p.m. noon Thursday, April 5, 2007 at the St. Paul Cemetery in Kahoka, MO with Reverend Ernest Deatrick officiating.
