Mary Leota Stiles Stewart, 85, of Kahoka, MO, died Friday, April 16, 2010 at the Clark County Nursing Home in Kahoka. She was born on January 12, 1925 in Leon, Iowa, the daughter of Glenn and Bessie Boak Stiles. On September 8, 1943, Mary was united in marriage to Hugh Harr Stewart in Kahoka, MO. He preceded her in death on April 21, 1993. Mary graduated from the Leon High School with the Class of 1943. She knew Christ as her personal savior and enjoyed serving her church family at the First Baptist Church in Farmington, Iowa where she was a member. She was a devoted farm wife and mother, working beside her husband on the family farm. She also enjoyed sewing and reading. She is survived by five daughters, Sondra Dietrich and her husband Donald of Ursa, IL, Linda Pirotte of Quincy, IL, Patty Davis and her husband Lewin of Quincy, IL, Dorothy Zaputil and her husband James of Mystic, IA and Mary Jean Dolan and her husband Michael of Kahoka, MO, one son, David Stewart of Luray, MO, ten grandchildren, Aaron Dietrich, Seth Dietrich, Audra Marshall, Branden Pirotte, Laura Hampton, Leslie Burke, Lindsey Davis, Phillip Stockton, Johnnie Meling and Christopher Dolan, two step-grandchildren, Tiffany Lawson and Jamie Zaputil, four great grandchildren and six step great grandchildren. She was also preceded in death by her parents and a son in infancy, Mark Allen Stewart. Funeral services were held at 10:30 a.m., Tuesday at the First Baptist Church in Farmington, IA. Burial was in the Greenglade Cemetery in Farmington, IA. Memorials may be made to Shepherd's Ministries.
