Mary Six, 72, a lifelong resident of Kahoka, Missouri died Sunday, February 8, 2015 at her home in Kahoka.
She was born April 23, 1942 in Clark County, Missouri, the daughter of Calvin Andrew and Mary Louise Roberts Shearer. On February 5, 1961, she was united in marriage to Jack Six in Wayland, Missouri. He survives.
Other survivors include: her son, Earl D. Six and his wife Gail of Keokuk, IA, a granddaughter, Savanna Six and her companion Gaige McGreevey of Keokuk, IA, a grandson, Bobby Six and his companion Jordyn Smith of Warsaw, IL, a great grandson, Colton Six, of Keokuk, IA, four sisters, Shirley Waterman and her husband Ronnie of Kahoka, MO, Sharon Kaiser and her husband Rick of Pierre, South Dakota, Barbara Shearer of Florence, Arizona, Vickie Knowles of Casa Grande, Arizona, three brothers in law, Kenneth Six and his wife Diann of Jefferson City, MO, Ronald Six and his wife Jean, and Steve Six and his wife Marty of Kahoka, as well as many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
She is now reunited with her parents, her mother and father-in-law, Russell and Dorotha Six, her sister, Norma Bross and her husband Larry, her brother, Francis Shearer, and a nephew, Danny Six.
Mary graduated from Clark County High School with the class of 1960. She was employed at Sheller Globe in Keokuk, Iowa as a finish operator for 20 years where she retired 1997.
She spent time going to auctions and loved to collect dishes, however, much of Mary's free time was spent with family and friends. She and Jack loved helping family when they were needed. There was nothing more treasured in her life than her family. Mary will be greatly missed and continually loved and remembered by all who knew her.
Funeral services were held 11 a.m. Friday, February 13, 2015 at the Vigen Memorial Home in Kahoka. Burial was in the Kahoka Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the Wounded Warriors Project.
