View Video Tribute Mary Eileen Milligan, 64, of Montrose, Iowa, died Monday, April 7, 2008 in her home. She was born May 24, 1943 in Keokuk, Iowa, the daughter of Edlo Paul Milligan and Myrtle Irene "Kite" Milligan. Mary graduated from Keokuk Senior High. She was employed at Sheaffer Pen for 43 years, retiring in 2006 and was a member of the Local Union #1551. She was also a member of the Southside Boat Club and the Keokuk Yacht Club in the past. She enjoyed hanging out at the Double Dipper Ice Cream Shoppe. She loved going down by the river to eat and read her books. She also liked doing puzzle books, word searches, and Suduko in her spare time. Mary liked to watch stock car races, Nascar races, and Cardinals baseball. In past years she helped out with and led a Girl Scouts Troop. She liked spending time at her sister's house and keeping in touch with aunts or cousins in other states. In her time of better health she loved to travel and shop. Mary is survived by two brothers, Charles J. Milligan of Keokuk, Iowa, Richard L. Milligan of Lansing, Kansas, two sisters, Carolyn (Susie) Jenkins and her husband Rodney of Hamilton, Illinois, Darla K. Zumdome and her husband Jody of Montrose, Iowa, and several nieces and nephews, Tim Milligan, Charles S. Milligan, Tammy Schroeder, Tony Milligan, Gregory Wood, Michael Wood, Clayton Jenkins, Derek Jenkins, Christina Campbell, Cindy Johnson, Amie Milligan, and Breanne and Kaylee Zumdome. She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother Roger P. Milligan. A memorial service was held at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, April 10, 2008 at Vigen Memorial Home in Keokuk, IA with Gordon Blankenship Sr. officiating.
