Mary Louise Guild, 86, of Keokuk, IA died Tuesday, November 22, 2005 at the Keokuk Area Hospital in Keokuk, IA. Mary was born on February 28, 1919 in Keokuk, IA the daughter of Rollin T. and Manilla Ann Caywood Lutz. She was united in marriage to William Guild on January 20, 1940 in Keokuk, IA. He preceded her in death on September 6, 2000. She was a lifelong resident of Keokuk, IA and graduated from Keokuk High School with the Class of 1937. She was a faithful member of the First Baptist Church in Keokuk. Mary was employed at the Keokuk Public Schools as manager of the Cafeteria for 24 years until her retirement in 1989. She did excellent embroidery work to contribute to quilts made by her daughter. She loved to play bridge. She is survived by her daughter, Susanne McGlone her husband Jack of Boulder City, Nevada, two brothers, Joe Lutz of Sarasota, Florida and Richard Lutz of Urbandale, IA, two sisters, Edith Harmeyer of Ft. Madison, IA and Kathleen Calvert of Washington, one grandson, Michael Hartt of Chicago, IL a niece Joanna Breakbill of Keokuk, IA and other nieces and nephews. A memorial service was held at 11 a.m., Friday, November 25 at the Vigen Memorial Home in Keokuk, IA with Pastor Dale Thomas officiating. Burial was in the Hickory Grove Cemetery.
