Mary Louise Davis, 73 of Keokuk, IA died Wednesday, January 11, 2023 at Southeast Iowa Regional Medical Center in West Burlington, IA.

She was born August 30, 1949 in Keokuk, IA the daughter of David Howard, Sr. and Irene Louise Rudd Dunne. Mary graduated from Cardinal Stritch with the class of 1967.

On May 27, 1972 Mary was united in marriage to Lowell Davis, Jr. in Quincy, IL. He survives.

Other survivors include four daughters, Tabitha Halterman (Brian) of Keokuk, Rebecca Sanders (Michael) of Cedar Rapids, IA, Monica Lyons (Kristofer) of Monticello, IA and Elizabeth Stewart (Jeremy) of Keokuk, ten grandchildren, Gavin Halterman, Kaitlyn Halterman, Katie Schwers (Dylan), Jacob Sanders, Mary Grace Lyons, Davis Lyons, Amelia Mae Lyons, Emma Claire Lyons, Johnathan Stewart and Kayden Stewart and one great-grandchild, Emerie Halterman. She is also survived by one brother, Andrew Dunne (Kathy) of Keokuk and many in-laws and nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers, David Howard Dunne, Jr. and Joseph Vincent Dunne.

Mary had been employed by McDonald's in Keokuk for twenty years until her retirement in 2013.

Mary had a green thumb and grew all types of indoor plants. She enjoyed reading, crocheting, watching hummingbirds and cooking. She also enjoyed shopping and taking girl trips with her daughters. Above all else, Mary treasured the time she spent with her family, especially her grandchildren.

A memorial service was held at 11 a.m. on January 17, 2023, at the Vigen Memorial Home in Keokuk, IA with Reverend Milo VanVeldhuizen officiating. Burial was held in the Keokuk National Cemetery.

Visitation was held prior to the service from 9-11 a.m. at the funeral home with family meeting with friends at that time.
