Mary "Katie" Kathryn Bollin, 49, of Keokuk, Iowa died Tuesday, September 11, 2007 at the Keokuk Area Hospital in Keokuk, Iowa. She was born January 1, 1958 in Keokuk, Iowa the daughter of Max and Bette Weirather Bollin. She lived in Keokuk all her life and graduated from Keokuk High School in 1976. Katie had many different jobs. She was a band singer, a musician, a waitress and a bartender. She was a member of the St. Mary's Catholic Church in Keokuk, Iowa. She enjoyed music, reading Stephen King books and watching his movies. She also was an avid Star Trek fan. She is survived by three sisters, Mary Beth Frakes of Brighton, Colorado, Mary Jo Seaver of Nauvoo, Illinois, Mary Rose Bollin-Loth of Concord, California, three brothers, Mike Bollin and Nate Bollin both of Keokuk, Iowa, and Matt Bollin of Nauvoo, Illinois, sixteen nieces and nephews, eight grand nieces, five grand nephews, an uncle, Bob Burke of Denmark, Iowa and two aunts, Beverly Younggren and her husband Don of Buda, Illinois, and Genevieve Simmens of Nauvoo, Illinois. She was preceded in death by her parents. Celebration of her life was held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday at the Vigen Memorial Home in Keokuk, Iowa.
