Mary H. Boehmer, 83 of Ft. Madison, IA crossed over on Monday, June 1, 2015 at the Great River Hospice House in West Burlington, IA. She was loved and care for by the Great River Hospice House and was visited by all her family and many friends. She was born March 22, 1932 in Kansas City, MO the daughter of Casimer and Mary Sunderlik Zemborski. She was united in marriage to Robert B. Boehmer in July, 1956. He preceded her in death in April 1975 . Mary was an accomplished artist. She loved to do the daily crossword puzzle in the papers and also loved to read and watch television. But her true love were her two dogs, Brody and Tully. She is survived by her sister, Linda (Jim) Baier of Ft. Madison, IA, her sister-in-law, Gloria (Ray) Guffey of Fairbanks, AK and many nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews and many, many dear friends . She was also preceded in death by her parents, one son, Robert E. (Robbie) Boehmer, and her sister and brother-in-law, Beverly Mothes and Wolf Mothes According to Mary's wishes, she has been cremated there will be no visitation or service. Mary wants everyone to have a cup of coffee and remember the good times. In lieu of flowers, a memorial has been established for the P.A.W.S. Shelter in Ft. Madison and the Disabled American Veteran.
