Mary M. Babington, 56, of Keokuk died Friday at her home in Keokuk. She was born March 28, 1959 the daughter of Thomas and Barbara Venning Babington in Ft. Madison, IA. Mary proudly served in the United States Army. She worked for Christian Science Society in Keokuk. Mary gave unselfishly to others. Her kindness and generous ways brightened many lives over the years. She loved all kinds of animals and made room in her heart for a number of family pets over the years. She is survived by her mother, Barbara Babington of Keokuk, four brothers, Greg (Luann) Babington of Denver, North Carolina, Brad Babington of Keokuk, Keith Babington of Springfield, MO and Mark (Nikki) Babington of Keokuk, along with many nieces, nephews and cousins. She was preceded in death by her father, Thomas Babington. Memorial services will be held 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Vigen Memorial Home with First Reader Hannah DeVries officiating. There will be no visitation. Memorial may be made to the Keokuk Public Library or Keokuk Humane Society.
