Marty L. Bennett, 48 of Keokuk died Monday, August 28, 2017 at the Keokuk Area Hospital in Keokuk. He was born February 5, 1969 in Keokuk, the son of Ralph and Sally Burgess Bennett. Marty was united in marriage to Trudy Fowler on August 24, 2011. Marty had been employed by the Daily Gate City for several years. He enjoyed working on computers and collecting shot glasses. Marty adored his grandchildren and treasured the time he spent with them. He is survived by two sons, Aaron Bennett (Christina) of Keokuk and Ryan Bennett (Kodi) of Wayland, MO, one daughter, Samantha Bennett of Maricopa, AZ, eight grandchildren, his mother, Sally Bennett of Keokuk, one brother, Ralph Bennett (Tiffani) of Keokuk, and many aunts, uncles and cousins. He was preceded in death by his father, one sister, Barbara Bennett and his grandparents. A graveside service was held at 2 p.m., Thursday, August 31, 2017 at the Oakland Cemetery in Keokuk.
