Martha Elizabeth Brown, 100, of Keokuk, IA, died Saturday April 28, 2007 at the River Hills Village in Keokuk, IA. She was born on December 9, 1906 in Montrose, IA, the daughter of John C. and Mary Hentzell Wardlow. On October 12, 1927, Martha was united in marriage to Raymond L. Brown in Montrose, IA. He preceded her in death on May 3, 1994. Martha was a housewife and spent all of her life in the Montrose and Summitville, IA area. She was a charter member of the New Testament Christian Church in Keokuk, IA. Martha is survived by two sons, Larry Brown and his wife Lola of Montrose, IA and Roger Brown and his wife Barb of Keokuk, IA, ten grandchildren, twenty-one great-grandchildren, four great-great-grandchildren and one sister, Inez Koch of Donnellson, IA. She was also preceded in death by an infant grandson and one brother, Ellis Wardlow. Funeral services were held at 11 a.m, Tuesday at the Vigen Memorial Home in Keokuk, IA with Brother Bill Hauser officiating. Burial was in the Montrose Cemetery in Montrose, IA.
