Marjorie Brown, 83, of Ft. Madison, IA, formerly of Montrose, IA, died Sunday, November 13, 2005 at the Kensington in Ft. Madison. She was born December 24, 1921 in Montrose, IA, the daughter of Charles G. and Cecelia K. Slattery Brown. Marjorie was a lifelong resident of the Montrose area. While living at the Kensington in Ft. Madison, Marjorie enjoyed playing bingo and visiting with her friends and neighbors. She is survived by two sisters, Dorothy Pezley of Ft. Madison, IA, and Vera Fedler and her husband Leroy of Burlington, IA, two nieces, Judy Doyle of Argyle, IA and Kathy Moorman of Longmont, CO, three nephews, Chester Pezley of Juniata, NE, Lawrence Pezley of Lake Ozarks, MO and Jon Fedler of Chicago, IL several great-nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, one brother, Junior A. Brown , one nephew Charles H. Brown and his wife Nancy Brown. Funeral services were held at 1:30 p.m., Wednesday at the Vigen Memorial Home in Keokuk, IA with Reverend Bill Mitchell officiating. Burial was in the Montrose Cemetery. A memorial was established for the Montrose Fire Department.
