Marilyn J. Elgin age 90 of Upper Sandusky, died at Vancrest of Upper Sandusky on Mar. 25, 2025. She was born in Keokuk, IA on Dec. 13, 1934 to the late Allie E. and Esther (Means) Scott Sr.

She married John H. Elgin on Nov. 27, 1952 at the Church of the Nazarene in Keokuk, IA, he survives in Upper Sandusky. Mrs. Elgin is also survived by her children Cheryl (Ken) Gelbaugh, Upper Sandusky, Douglas (Missy Moore) Elgin, North Ft. Myers, FL, grandchildren Scott (Tanielle) Gelbaugh, Carey, Gwen (Keith) Adams, Upper Sandusky, Kimberly (Travis) Scoby, Upper Sandusky, JC (Garrett Lindner) Elgin, North Ft. Myers, FL, Marshall Elgin, Shelby, Stephany (Albert Butler) Elgin, Shelby, great grandchildren, Alex, Luke & Brooke Gelbaugh, Carey, Hayden & Evan Adams, Upper Sandusky, Emillie & John Scoby, Upper Sandusky and a brother James Scott, FL. She is preceded in death by a brother Allie Scott Jr. and a sister Juanita James.

Mrs. Elgin was a 1952 graduate of Keokuk High School, Keokuk, IA. She has been a resident of Upper Sandusky since 1970, and retired from Liqui-Box. She & her husband wintered in Fort Myers, FL. She enjoyed collecting seashells on Sanibel Island, watching birds outside her home and spending time with family, especially her grandchildren & great grandchildren.

A private family interment was held Monday, March 31, 2025 in the Keokuk National Cemetery in Keokuk, IA.
