Marguerite Jean "Marge" Dunham Carlson, 91 of Quincy, IL, formerly of Keokuk, IA died Monday, March 18, 2013 at Bradford Villa Assisted Living in Quincy. She resided at Wilmar Villa for the last seven years in Quincy, prior to moving to Bradford Villa. She was born June 13, 1921 in Quincy the daughter of James Jay and Mary Belle Fields Dunham. She was united in marriage to William Leslie Lemon in 1940. He preceded her in death in 1950. She later married Morris R. Diamond in 1961. He preceded her in death in 1977. She then married Harold A. Carlson in 1983 who preceded her in death in 1997. Marge graduated from St. Vincent's Grade School and St. Peter's High School in Keokuk. She was employed for thirty-three years at State Central Bank in Keokuk, IA and retired as Assistant Vice President of the Loan Department. She was a member of All Saints Catholic Church in Keokuk, IA until moving to Quincy where she joined Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church. She was active in the American Legion Auxiliary and the Altar and Rosary Society of Keokuk. Marge enjoyed making cross stitched quilts and latch hook rugs in her earlier years. Later she enjoyed working with the ladies of the First Lutheran's Church making quilts for foreign countries. She is survived by one son, Michael P. Lemon and wife Martha of Quincy, IL, four step-daughters, Susie Dobson and husband Gerald of Hannibal, MO, Barbara Walter and husband David, Janet Carter and Donna Neff, all of Keokuk, numerous step-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. She was also preceded in death by her parents, two brothers Robert and Paul Dunham and one sister Mary Dunham Bullard. A Mass of Christian Burial was held at 10 a.m., Thursday, March 21st, 2013 at All Saints Catholic Church in Keokuk with Father Robert Lathrop officiating. Burial was in the Oakland Cemetery in Keokuk. Memorials may be made to Blessing Hospice and All Saints Catholic Church.
