Margaret "Maggie" Ann Lantz, 67, of Keokuk, IA, died Wednesday, July 23, 2014 at St. John's Hospital in Springfield, IL. She was born on November 9, 1946 in Keokuk, IA, the daughter of James and Gwendolyn Hodges Morgan. She married Larry Lantz in 1970 and they later divorced in 1992. Maggie had been employed as a caregiver at a Bridgeway Group Home in Keokuk. She had a crafters heart whose hands were always busy with one project or another. She created beautiful flower arrangements for weddings, made delicious mints and baked and decorated wedding and birthday cakes. Maggie was an avid reader and enjoyed mystery novels and books written by Beverly Lewis. She also enjoyed going to the casino to try her luck at the slot machines. Most of all, Maggie enjoyed spending time with her family and doing things for them that said "I Love You". She is survived by three daughters, Melinda (James) Benson of Winterset, IA, Danielle (Sean) Brobston of Franklin, TN and Stephanie (Wrina) Charles of Brainerd, MN, five grandchildren, Jennifer Kuhlman, Austin Benson, Hannah Benson, Zachary Brobston and Ethan Brobston, four sisters, Mary (Harley) Griffin and Katie (Roger) Davis all of Keokuk, Patti (Craig) Egley of Warsaw, IL and Jeanne (Joe) Fuller of Montrose, two brothers, Rex (Janie) Morgan of Warsaw and Kenny (Rachael) Morgan of Alexandria, Alabama, and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, one brother, James Morgan, and one sister Bambi Dietle. A memorial service was held at 11 a.m., Saturday, July 26, 2014 at the Vigen Memorial Home in Keokuk with Pastor Bob Payne officiating. Memorials may be made to the St. Jude Children's Hospital.
