Mae Roberts Lehr, 78, of Hamilton, IL, formerly of Keokuk, IA, died Saturday, January 31, 2009 at Montebello HealthCare Center in Hamilton, IL. She was born on August 17, 1930 in Keokuk, IA, the daughter of Clyde and Goldie Smith Spearman. She married Boyd Lehr on June 16, 2004 in Hamilton, IL. He survives. Other survivors include one daughter, Cheryl Eagen of Bartlesville, OK, one son, Jeffrey Roberts currently serving in the United States Air Force, and three grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother, Elmer Spearman. Mae graduated from Keokuk High School with the Class of 1948. She attended Olivette Nazarene College in Kankakee, IL. She was a member of the Trinity United Methodist Church in Keokuk, IA. She had been employed at State Central Bank in Keokuk, IA. Mae loved music and enjoyed playing the piano and vocal music. Funeral services were held at 11 a.m., Thursday, February 5, at the Vigen Memorial Home in Keokuk, IA with Rev. Robert Wagner officiating. Burial was in the Oakland Cemetery in Keokuk. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the American Diabetes Association.
