Madge Estelle Glasgow, 88 of Keokuk died Friday, July 17, 2015 at the River Hills Village in Keokuk. She was born March 3, 1927 the daughter of William and Rachael Riley. On April 25, 1948 she was united in marriage to George Glasgow, Jr. in Keokuk. He preceded her in death on August 10, 2005. She had been employed as a secretary at Thomas Truck in Keokuk. Madge had also worked at Arrowhead Bowling Alley in Keokuk. She was a member of First Lutheran Church in Keokuk. In her earlier years Madge enjoyed going fishing. She loved a good game of bingo as well as canasta and working crossword puzzles. She is survived by one son, Danny Glasgow Sr. and his wife Jane of Keokuk, two daughters, Rachael Trimble and her husband Bill of Keokuk and Tammy Tweedy and her husband Doug of Auxvasse, MO, six grandchildren, Raegan Swainey and her husband Sean of Keokuk, Danny Glasgow, Jr. and his wife Jo of Argyle, IA, Doug Reichman of Keokuk, Heidi Thacher of Auxvasse, MO, Amber Thacher of Auxvasse, MO and Travis Thacher & his wife Lauren, two step-grandchildren, Tommy Wellington and his wife Kelly of Colfax, IA and Lori Nelson and her husband Don of Memphis, MO, twenty great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild. She was also preceded in death by one daughter in infancy, one sister, Jean Dietsch, one brother, Charles Riley and one daughter-in-law, Nedra Glasgow. A graveside service will be held at 9 a.m., Tuesday at the Sunset Memorial Park in Keokuk with Pastor Terry Lovell officiating. There will be no visitation. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Lee County Hospice or River Hills Village.
