View Video Tribute Madeline Jett High, 76, of Keokuk, IA, died Monday, May 30, 2011 at Montebello HealthCare Center in Hamilton, IL. She was born on August 24, 1934 in Canton, MO, the daughter of Les and Roxie Allensworth Hart. She graduated from Canton High School with the Class of 1952. On December 31, 1955, Madeline was united in marriage to Robert High in Canton, MO. He survives. Other survivors include three children, Keith High and his wife Tammy of Keokuk, IA, Kim Stansbery and her husband Bryan of Warsaw, IL and Karla King and her husband Jeff of Collierville, TN, eight grandchildren, Erika, Krissy, Heather and Robert High of Keokuk, Megan Ritter and her husband Steve of Carthage, IL, Kyle Stansbery and his fiancé Ashley Bonacorsi of Hampton, VA, Amanda Usery and her husband Brent of Nashville, TN, Candace Bell of Collierville, TN, three great-grandchildren, Jayce High of Keokuk, IA, Brodyn Alexander of Keokuk, IA and Zoe Bell of Collierville, TN and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, five sisters and three brothers. Madeline had worked as a store clerk for several years. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Keokuk. Jett was a good wife, mother and grandmother and loved her family very much. Funeral services were held at 10 a.m., Friday June 3, 2011 at the Vigen Memorial Home in Keokuk, IA with Pastor Mark Hanson officiating. Burial was in the Keokuk National Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the Montebello Health Care Center in Hamilton, IL, or Blessing Hospice of Hancock County.
