Lyman Theodore Dickens, 60, of Clinton, IA, passed away March 12, 2026, in Clinton. He was born April 24, 1965, in Keokuk, the son of James Theodore and Christine Hardesty Dickens.
Lyman was united in marriage to Cheryl on July 10, 2010, in Clinton. The two shared many years together. She preceded him in death on January 29, 2024.
Lyman worked for various trucking companies throughout the years as both an over-the-road and local truck driver. He took pride in his work and spent many hours traveling the highways doing a job he knew well. Outside of work, Lyman had a love for Harley motorcycles and truly enjoyed the freedom of the open road. Riding was something that brought him both excitement and peace, and it was one of the ways he most enjoyed spending his time.
He is survived by his son, Steve Dickens of Clinton; his mother, Christine Hartley (Bill); half-sister, Glenna Dickens; and half-brother, James D. Dickens (Stacie), all of Keokuk.
In addition to his wife, he was also preceded in death by his father, James Theodore Dickens.
Private family services will be held at a later date.
The Vigen Memorial Home in Keokuk is assisting the family with arrangements.
