Lucy Feikert

Lucy Feikert, 90, of Donnellson, IA died Tuesday, April 12, 2011 at the Donnellson Health Center in Donnellson. She was born October 19, 1920 the daughter of Leo and Violet Clark Ridge. Lucy worked at Chintz's for many years as a cook and was known for potato salad. She was a member of the VFW Auxiliary in Hamilton, IL and Eastern Star in LaHarpe, IL. She enjoyed playing bingo and fishing in the Mississippi River. She is survived by four sons, Leo Feikert and his wife Peggy of Blandinsville, IL, Gary Feikert and his wife Karen of Hamilton, IL, John Feikert of New London, IA, and Dennis Feikert of Montrose, IA, two daughters, Marie Crabtree and her husband Jim of Keokuk, IA and Cathy Searsen and her husband Bill of Keokuk, IA, 11 grandchildren, 20 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, two sons in infancy and two grandchildren in infancy. Memorial services were held at 11 a.m. Thursday, April 14, 2011 at the Vigen Memorial Home in Keokuk, IA with Pastor Mark Hanson officiating. Burial was in the Oakwood Cemetery in Hamilton, IL. Memorials may be made the Alzheimer's Association.
