View Video Tribute Louise Elizabeth Harker, 62, of Warsaw, IL went to be with her Lord on Friday, September 1, 2006. She was born on March 19, 1944 in Keokuk, IA, the daughter of the William D. Harker and Clara Gragg Harker. She graduated from Hamilton High School with the Class of 1962. She received her Associate of Arts Degree from Southeastern Community College in Keokuk, IA. Louise had been employed as the bookkeeper and Office Manager at Hartricks Lumber in Keokuk for forty-two years. Louise had accepted Christ as her personal Savior and was presently attending Cornerstone Church. She had attended several other churches throughout the years and had served as a Sunday School Teacher, Church Treasurer and teacher in Awanas. Louise loved to be outdoors working in her flower and vegetable gardens. She loved animals. She enjoyed painting and had painted several oil paintings for her sisters, mother and friends. She also made latch hook rugs. Most of all, she loved being with people, both her family and friends. Over the years, she had made many friends and her most favorite thing was to go places and do things with them. She is survived by her mother, Clara G. Harker of Warsaw, IL, four sisters, Martha Bloyd of Wayland, MO, Marjorie Helwig and her husband John of Keokuk, IA, Ruth Scheuermann and her husband Kenneth of Nauvoo, IL, and Anna Hardy and her husband Don of Warsaw, IL, several nieces and nephews, Steve, Kenneth and Vernon Bloyd, Debbie (Bloyd) Brown, Carolyn (Keller) Wolf, Michael, Danny and Donnie Keller, John Helwig, Kim (Helwig) Murphy, Dennis and Artie Scheuermann, Pam (Scheuermann) Sheffler, David, Shane and Tom Hardy and Tina (Hardy) Hayes. She was preceded in death by her father, one sister, Mary Keller, two nephews, Paul Helwig and Jim Keller and one niece, Barbara (Bloyd) Welch. Funeral services were held at 10:30 a.m. on Monday, September 4 at the Cornerstone Church, 10th Blondeau, in Keokuk, IA with Pastor Mike Shea and Pastor Craig Votroubek officiating. Burial was in the Oakwood Cemetery in Hamilton, IL. Visitation was held after 2 p.m.Sunday at the Vigen Memorial Home in Keokuk, IA with the family meeting with friends from 6 – 8 p.m. Memorials were made to the Shiloh Christian Children's Ranch, 601 N. Center St., P.O. Box 606, Shelbina, MO 63468-0606.
