Lorena Alberta Walker, 82, of Revere, MO, died Friday, January 20, 2012 at her home. She was born on January 14, 1930 in Williamstown, MO, the daughter of Gilbert and Beulah Dice Young. On November 26, 1969 Lorena was united in marriage to Gale W. Walker in Reno, NV. He survives. Other survivors include four sons, Dennis Walker and his wife Susan of Kahoka, MO, Ricky Walker of Sealy, TX, Randal Walker and his wife Angie of Canton, MO and Barry Walker of Independence, MO, two step-sons, Gale Walker, Jr. and his wife Barbara of Smyrna, TN and George Walker of San Francisco, CA, one step-daughter, Linda Walker and her husband Rick of Pittsburgh, CA, six grandchildren, Ryan Walker of St. Louis, MO, Clinton Walker of Quincy, IL, Darrin Walker of Keokuk, IA, Lindsey Beckmann of Columbia, MO, Calina Sturm of Quincy, IL and Mandy Walker of Sealy, TX, nine step grandchildren, four great grandchildren, three step great grandchildren, one brother, Keith Young and his wife Elsie of Williamsburg, IA, one sister, Virgie Courtney and her husband Allen of Kahoka, MO and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, one brother, Kenneth Young and his wife Jeanie and one sister, Verna Yeager and her husband Charlie. Lorena graduated from Kahoka High School in Kahoka, MO with the Class of 1949. She had worked as the City Clerk for the City of Kahoka for thirteen years. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Kahoka, MO. Lorena enjoyed all kinds of arts and crafts and was especially gifted in oil painting. Funeral services were held 1 p.m. Monday, January 23, 2012 at the Vigen Memorial Home in Kahoka with Pastor Dan Deatrick officiating. Burial was in the Kahoka Cemetery in Kahoka, MO. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society or the National Parkinson Foundation.
