Loleane E. Storms, 97, of Keokuk died Thursday, October 22, 2015 at the Lexington Square Nursing Home in Keokuk.
She was born March 5, 1918 in Kansas City, KS the daughter of William and Delta Rumbaugh Cressey. She was united in marriage to Albert Storms on March 14, 1938 in Keokuk. They lived five miles southeast of Argyle, IA and farmed the Storms family home place. He preceded her in death on June 11, 2000.
Loleane graduated from the Argyle High School in Argyle, IA with the Class of 1936.
She had been employed at both St. Joseph and Graham Hospitals in Keokuk and later did home care in Keokuk.
Loleane loved music and played the piano and organ for church and sang in her earlier years.
She was a wonderful cook and enjoyed entertaining friends and family in her home. She will be missed by all her family and friends.
She is survived by two daughters, Barbara Vaughn of Keokuk and Twila Seaver (Garry) of Mexico, MO and one son, Carl Albert Storms of Keokuk, eleven grandchildren who dearly loved their Grandma Storms, Jesse Jay Vaughn, Todd W. Wiseman, Ronda S. Weltch, Lesa Wiseman, Donna K. Malloy, Mark A. Vaughn, Chad Seaver, Kristina LaFrenz, Mindy Sabbath, Rhonda Huston and JoAnn Storms, numerous great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
She was also preceded in death by her parents.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m., Tuesday at the Vigen Memorial Home in Keokuk with Pastor Mike Shea officiating. Burial will be in the Oakland Cemetery in Keokuk.
Visitation will be held prior to the service from 10-11 a.m., Tuesday at the funeral home with family meeting with friends at that time.
Memorials may be made to the family for a memorial to be determined at a later date.
