Linda D. Heavin Schnyder, 52, of Tempe, Arizona, formerly of Keokuk, IA, died Wednesday, November 9, 2005 in Tempe.
She was born on June 3, 1953, in Keokuk, IA, the daughter of Walter and Norma Tucker Heavin. On June 12, 1991, Linda was united in marriage to Joe Allen Schnyder at Rand Park in Keokuk, IA. He survives.
Other survivors include two sons, Josh Humes and his wife Stephanie and Todd Humes all of the state of Louisiana, two step-daughters, Kristy Kaye and her husband Darren and Jamelle Tilley and her husband Adam, all of Tempe, AZ, seven grandchildren, Randall, Madison and Justin Humes, Adriana Kaye, Kaela and Makennah Tilley and Nicole Sackman, her step-mother, Martha Heavin of Keokuk, IA, one sister, Diana Whitaker and her husband Carl of Revere, MO, one half-brother, Bill Heavin of Kansas City, MO, one half-sister, Phyllis Heavin of Rolla MO, three step-sisters, Carol Hibbard of Hamilton, IL, Theresa Allen and her husband Rick of Keokuk, IA, and Tina Brombaugh of Carthage, IL, several aunts and uncles, nieces and nephews and a special friend Jan Remund of Tempe, AZ.
She was preceded in death by her parents, grandparents and one step-grandson Michael Kaye.
Linda graduated from Keokuk Senior High School with the Class of 1971.
She had been employed as the office manager for Dr. Robert Modic in Mesa, AZ for 15 years.
Linda enjoyed bowling and playing video slot machines. She also liked to go camping and stay at the cabin in the mountains.
A memorial service was held at 11 a.m., Saturday, November 12 at the Vigen Memorial Home in Keokuk, IA with Brother Bill Hauser officiating.
