Linda Schilson, 72, passed away in her sleep on February 25, 2015, in St. Petersburg, FL, where she had lived since 1979.
She was born Aug. 11, 1942, in Keokuk, to Rhea and Ferne (Biddenstadt) Flambeau Jr. She graduated from Keokuk Senior High School with the Class 1960. She married Terry Schilson in 1963 in Keokuk. They later divorced.
She worked for the American Cancer Society for more than 20 years. She was a member of St. Pa
ul United Church of Christ in Keokuk and First Unity Church in St. Petersburg.
She is survived by four children, Scott (Julie) Schilson of Bradenton, FL, Timothy Schilson of St. Petersburg, FL, Trea Schilson of West Palm Beach, FL, and Remi Schilson (Matt) Anderson of Roswell, GA, nine grandchildren, one great grandchild two brothers, Larry (Gwynn) Flambeau of Keokuk and Randy (Kay) Flambeau of Warsaw, IL, and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, brother Roger, step-father Chuck Eppers and step brother Fred Eppers.
A joint Celebration of Life memorial service for Linda and her mother, Ferne Flambeau Eppers, will be held Sunday July 3, at 1 P.M. at the St. Paul United Church of Christ in Keokuk.
