Lewis Franklin Meyer, 71, of Trenton, MO, formerly of Keokuk, IA, died Sunday, July 16, 2017 at the Mosaic Life Center in St. Joseph, MO.
He was born on August 30, 1945 in Robinson, IL, the son of Earl Adam and Eileen Leona Judy Meyer. On December 13, 1990, Lewis was united in marriage to Linda Jefferson in Carthage, IL.
Lewis was a Veteran of the United States Army.
He had been employed at Todd Uniform, Steel Casting in Keokuk and also at the Prototype Foundry in Kahoka, MO.
He was a lifetime member of the Illinois Boots and Saddle Club in Alton, IL.
Lewis enjoyed the outdoors and spent much of his time fishing, hunting, camping and horseback riding. He also loved to ride his motorcycle and work on cars.
He is survived by his wife, Linda of Keokuk and one step-daughter, Helen Brouwer of Keokuk.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m., Tuesday, at the Vigen Memorial Home in Keokuk with Pastors John and Marilyn Curtis officiating. Burial will be held at a later date.
