Lavetta Doris Clark, 78, of Keokuk, IA passed away Tuesday, April 19, 2011 at the Keokuk Area Hospital in Keokuk, IA. She was born on May 20, 1932 in New Madrid, MO, the daughter of Wilburn and Hazel Pointer Henson. She married Lewis Clark in 1955 and they later divorced. Lavetta had been employed at Sheller Globe in Keokuk for twenty years, retiring in 1992. She was then employed at the Courthouse in Kahoka, MO until 2003. She enjoyed working in her garden. Lavetta was a loving mother and grandmother and cherished the time she spent with her family. Her grandchildren were her pride and joy. She is survived by one daughter, Donna Rauch and her husband Paul of Keokuk, IA, two sons, Gary Clark and Randy Clark, five grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren, six sisters, Anita Schall and Linda Klingle of Fort Dodge, IA, Gloria Snyder of Quincy, IL, Sherlene Duncan, Paula Yocum and Carolyn Harryman all of Keokuk, IA, four brothers, Greg Eaton of Springfield, MO, James Henson, Windell Henson and Danny Eaton all of Keokuk, IA. She was preceded in death by her father, Wilburn Henson, her mother, Hazel Eaton, two children, Brenda Clark and Donnie Clark, and three brothers, Wandas Henson, Galen Eaton and Larrel Eaton. A Celebration of Life will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday at the Church of New Beginnings, 2244 McKinley Street in Keokuk, IA with Pastor Bob Payne officiating. There will be no visitation.
