Obituary

Larry "Robbie" C. Robertson, 70, of Warsaw, IL, formerly of Keokuk, IA, died Sunday, July 22, 2012 at his home. He was born March 6, 1942 in Keokuk, IA the son of Vernet and Nelle Robison Robertson. On May 10, 1974 Larry was united in marriage to Barbara Barker in Hamilton, IL. She survives. Other survivors include, three sons, Tony Robertson and his wife GiGi of Burlington, IA, Jeffrey "Jeff" Robertson and his wife Michelle of Ft. Madison, IA and Chad Robertson and his wife Marcia of Aurora, CO, two step- sons. Kenneth Dick and his wife Cecilia of Garland, TX and Ronald Dick and his wife Carla of Brighton, CO, fourteen grandchildren, Dillon Dick, Caitlin Dick, Allison Dick, Denise Dick, Michael Robertson, Elyse Robertson, Makaila Robertson, Ryan Robertson, Alexandrea Robertson, Zach Robertson, Tabatha Robertson, Andrew Shaffer, Amy Shaffer and Anthony Pierce, three great-granddaughters, Zoe Myers, Jocelyn Robertson and Kyrie Smith , one sister, Donna Dains of Ft. Madison, IA, three brothers, Robert Robertson and his wife Karlene of Middle Amana, IA, Thomas Robertson and his wife Joann of Burlington, IA and Richard Robertson and his wife Suellen of LaGrange, MO and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents. Larry graduated from Keokuk High School with the class of 1960. Larry started working at a bowling center when he was only eleven years old and over the years managed many different bowling centers. He had been employed at Heintz Electric in Keokuk, IA for fifteen years, retiring in 2008. He was a member of the United Presbyterian Church in Keokuk, IA. He was a former member of the Elks Lodge #106 and the Moose Lodge. Larry enjoyed playing pool and golfing. He had a passion for bowling and was on several different bowling Leagues and also taught Junior Bowling. Funeral services were held at 2 p.m., Thursday, July 26, 2012, at the United Presbyterian Church in Keokuk, IA with Pastor Alice Hawes and Danny Barker officiating. Burial will be at a later date in the Fellows Cemetery in Keosauqua, IA. Memorials may be made to Lee County Hospice or the United Presbyterian Church food pantry.
