Kevin McGee, 62 of Keokuk, died Sunday, June 21, 2020 at his home in Keokuk. He was born May 30, 1958 the son of Jessie Robert and Mildred Thompson McGee. He had been employed at Feinberg Metals Recycling in Fort Madison, IA. Kevin enjoyed working, fishing, junking and collecting tractors. He is survived by one son, Travis McGee and his wife Sarah of Warsaw, two daughters, Mildred McGee of Keokuk and Mary Lester of Burlington, four step-children, Richard Bennett and his wife Monica of Mt. Pleasant, IA, Michelle Bennett of Keokuk, Diana Bennett of California and Shawn Bennett of Keokuk, seven grandchildren, nine step-grandchildren and a special friend Peggy McGee. He is also survived by his brothers and sisters, Dan (Linda) Burgess, Rick (Sue) Burgess, Sally Bennett, Bobby (Wanda) McGee, Jesse McGee, Kim (Phil) Korschgen, and Becky Hurt all of Keokuk, Jeanne (Wesley) Denning and Richard Burgess all of Kahoka, along with many nieces, nephews and cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents, two sisters, Ellie McGee and Thelma Sherrill, two brothers, John Burgess and Spike Burgess, two nephews, Howard Burgess and Marty Bennett, and a niece, Barbara Bennett. A memorial service was held at 2 p.m., Friday, June 26th, 2020 at the Vigen Memorial Home in Keokuk with Pastor Larry Wallingford officiating. Burial was held in the Oakland Cemetery in Keokuk. There will be no visitation. Memorials may be made to the family.
