Kenneth M. Seabold, 57, of Keokuk, IA, died Sunday, July 6, 2008 at the Keokuk Area Hospital in Keokuk, IA.
He was born on July 12, 1950 in Keokuk, IA, the son of Kenneth T. and Mary E. Loeffler Seabold. On June 25, 1988, Kenneth was united in marriage to Debra Hanson in Keokuk, IA. She survives.
Other survivors include three sons, Colby Seabold and his wife Holly of Chouteau, OK, Clayton Seabold and his girlfriend Tiffany Roller of Keokuk and Jeramey Seabold and his fiancé Jenna Thompson of Keokuk, five grandchildren, Matthew P. Seabold, Payton M. Seabold, Georgia J. Seabold, McKenzy Seabold and Kevin Seabold, his mother, Mary Seabold of Keokuk, IA, three sisters, Nancy J. Thorn, Mary Sue Seabold and Jan Haskins, all of Keokuk, IA, several nieces and nephews and great-nieces and great-nephews and many friends including his friend since childhood, Charles Palmer of Keokuk.
He was preceded in death by his father and one brother-in-law, Steven L. Thorn.
Kenny graduated from Keokuk High School with the Class of 1968. He was a veteran of the United States Navy and served his country during the Vietnam War.
At one time he had served on the police force in Muscatine, IA. For the past 10 years he had been employed at Donald Holland Trucking, Inc. in Keokuk.
He was a member of the VFW in Hamilton, IL.
He was an avid Harley biker and loved to be on the road. Kenny was a best friend to everyone and would give the shirt off his back or his last dollar to anyone who needed it. Once you were Kenny's friend, you were a friend for life and became his brother or sister. The most important thing in Kenny's life was his family and his grandchildren were his pride and joy.
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m., Friday at the Vigen Memorial Home in Keokuk, IA with Rick Schmidt officiating. Burial with Military Rites was in the Keokuk National Cemetery.
Memorials may be made to his Grandchildren's Education Fund or to the Iowa Veteran's Home.
