Kenneth N. Jackson, 82 of Nauvoo, IL died Saturday, August 29, 2015 at the Fort Madison Community Hospital in Fort Madison.
He was born December 7, 1932 in Keokuk, Iowa the son of Virgil Norris and Elaine Welsch Jackson.
Kenneth was united in marriage to Jeanne Altmaier in Keokuk on August 10, 1952. They recently celebrated their 63rd wedding anniversary. She survives.
He is also survived by one daughter Cindy Henson and her husband Gary of Hamilton, Il, one son, Bruce Jackson and his wife Sherry of Lake Ozark, MO, three grandchildren Andrea (Justin) Sewell of Hamilton, IL, Tyler Jackson, and Kelsey Jackson of Lake Ozark, Mo, a great grandchild Brenden Sewell, four sisters, Beverly Monahan of Florida, Karol Laehn of Mt. Pleasant, Iowa, Julia Johnson (Mike) of Florida, Patty Taylor (Dan) of Hamilton, IL, and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his step mother.
He graduated from Keokuk Senior High School with the Class of 1951.
Ken proudly served his country as a Corporal in the United States Army from 1952 - 1954.
He was employed with the family business, Jackson Plumbing, for 35 years and then retired from Tri-Tech Construction.
He loved traveling in his motorhome and fishing. He was known to his family and friends as "Bud" and "Doc". Ken was a loving husband, dad and grandpa and cherished the time he spent with his family.
Burial with military rites will be held at the Keokuk National Cemetery at a later date.
Memorials may be made to the Nauvoo Fire Department.
